🏙️ Midweek Memo: Local jobs, pre-seed funding opportunities, and a tech social
Plus, the Home Key needs your help.
We’re starting this issue off with a important message about one of our favourite local community hubs: The Home Key. Yesterday, founders Jonathan and Clare announced that they are at risk of closing their doors due to lingering effects of the pandemic.
Here at VTJ, we’ve been lucky enough to host a number of events at The Home Key, from #vtjtalks to Vancouver Tech Morning Coffees. In fact, the very first #vtjtalks event took place inside The Home Key less than a year ago. We’ve seen it grow and become a gathering place for the Vancouver tech community. We know most of you have too.
If you’d like to help — and we think all Vancouver Tech Journal readers should — please make a contribution.
According to Jonathan and Clare, if everyone that has experienced The Home Key contributed $25, they’d be well on their way to hitting their target and operating on solid ground. More than 50 people have already chipped in. You know what to do.
And now, on to the Midweek Memo.
P.S. If someone else sent you this, you can subscribe or become a member right here, right now.
