  • Science World is getting $19M in federal funding for infrastructure upgrades to support the re-opening of its theatre through the green and inclusive community buildings program.

  • FaskenTech, the first and only full-service Canadian law firm dedicated to working with emerging and growth-stage companies, is reminding computing, climate, health, and mining tech founders about its webinar to build a strong application for Creative Destruction Lab’s pre-seed and seed-stage mentorship program.

  • Byron Thom, a tech investor and advisor, shared he’s returned to BDC as a partner at its Industrial Innovation Venture Fund and noted that its $250M I2VF investment thesis focuses on manufacturing, agtech, foodtech, and industrial innovations in extractive sectors.

  • Lindsay Chan, former VP corporate advisory and technology at Hill & Knowlton, shared she’s joined the BC Centre for Innovation and Clean Energy as its new VP of marketing and communications.

  • Jack Sung, a marketing executive formerly at crypto trading platform BitMEX, shared he’s now the CMO at Convergence, which creates award-winning digital products for public and private sector clients, to help lead the company’s international expansion — leveraging his background in Asia.
