And what's in store for the future?
To kick off 2023, we and two contributors mused about what was to come for Vancouver and B.C.’s tech ecosystem. Back in January, Switchboard PR founder Kathleen Reid said cleantech would be one of Canada’s top tech verticals; VTJ’s William Johnson argued that the ecosystem might struggle because of organizational silos; and investor Maninder Dhaliwal said, despite tumbling valuations and funding, it “isn’t the end of crypto.” So far, they’re not totally out to lunch.
