The 2026 New Ventures BC Competition, presented by Innovate BC, has announced its Top 25 startups, following a competitive Round 2.5 pitch event where 30 companies presented to a panel of expert judges.
This year's cohort spans a wide range of sectors including life sciences, healthcare, AI, SaaS, cleantech, sustainability, and consumer retail. Ten of the 25 companies are Vancouver-based: Cykel Technologies, Dream Photonics, heymate, IvoryOS Technologies, Nymble Health, Syris, TruthSayer AI, Tydra Labs, VEGAIN Nutrition, and Volta Home.
The remaining companies come from across B.C., including Victoria, Burnaby, North Vancouver, Port Coquitlam, Richmond, Surrey, Squamish, Port Moody, Coquitlam, Penticton, West Vancouver, and Garibaldi Highlands.
The Top 25 will now advance to Round 3 of the 26th annual competition.
