Whether you’re an investor, founder, or cleantech enthusiast, the Foresight 50 is a roster to watch.
This week, Foresight Canada — the country’ largest largest cleantech accelerator — has revealed the companies on its coveted annual list: a summary of the nation’s most investible cleantech ventures.
The panel of judges for the Foresight 50 selected this year’s ventures based on their investability, potential impact on the economy and job growth, strength of the leadership team, environmental impact, and probability of success. The list of rising stars showcases businesses that span the full spectrum of the company lifecycle — from early-stage raises to Seed, Series A, B, and beyond.
This year, a full 20 hailed from Vancouver: a number that’s perhaps unsurprising, given the amount of investment the province’s green energy businesses have received over the past year. According to Pitchbook data and B.C.’s Capital Compass, companies in the region have received USD $288 million so far, spread across pre-seed to Series C ventures.
In alphabetical order, meet the 20 lower mainland companies you should be opening your pocketbooks for — or copying their blueprint for success.
