The New Ventures BC Competition — a staple in the tech awards landscape, and a coveted trophy for startups — has announced its top 10 companies for 2025.

The largest and longest-running tech competition in the province, New Ventures BC is presented by crown corporation Innovate BC and helps early-stage businesses grow through mentorship, expert-led workshops, and networking opportunities across the tech ecosystem.

After months of pitches, mentorship, and competition rounds, the 2025 finalists are moving on to the final stage, where they’ll pitch their businesses to a panel of seasoned entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and investors. Up for grabs: $250,000 in cash and prizes, including:

  • $110,000 Innovate BC First Place Prize Package

  • $55,000 Innovate BC Second Place Prize Package

  • $30,000 Innovate BC Third Place Prize Package

  • $10,000 Innovate BC Sustainability Prize

  • $10,000 Innovate BC Life Sciences Prize

  • $10,000 Innovate BC Women-Led Venture Prize

  • $10,000 Leap to the Cloud Prize

  • Alumni Impact Award

  • NVBC Diamond-in-the-Rough Prize

The winners will be revealed on October 1st at the Stanley Park Pavilion.
