This week in Vancouver tech
A $223 million deal, the final call for startups to apply for funding for SXSW, and B.C.'s Power 50.
Thanks for bearing with us at VTJ this week! Our excellent staff writer Lisa Tanh has been doing all the heavy lifting as I recover from a concussion. (Was it my fault for skating into the corner to get the puck out without checking behind me? Yes. Was it my opponent’s fault for coming in so hot when down 4-1 with two minutes left in the third? No, but it’s still comforting to share the blame.)
All that to say, VTJ members — we’ll be back to your regularly scheduled programming next week. Keep an eye on your inbox for your morning report newsletter. VTJ subscribers — this Sunday Briefing will be a little, er, briefer thanks to my addled brain, but that means a bumper edition is on the way next week.
Now onto today’s briefing. It’s 670 words: a two-minute read.
